Service Description

Spirometry (Lung Function) Testing is to assist in screening workers exposed to dust, chemicals, or other injurious agents that may harm the lungs during the course of employment. Spirometry measures how well your lungs work by capturing how much air you inhale and exhale, and how fast you can blow it out and is a tool used as part of the company's Health Surveillance Program to monitor workers' health. Hearing Protection Fit testing measures a person's exact Personal Attenuation Rating (PAR), and is required to prove that the particular earplugs or earmuffs actually block enough noise for each specific worker's unique ear shape and protects them to the level of noise they are exposed to during the course of their occupation. Testing should be conducted prior to wearing the hearing protection in a noisy environment and then recommended to be re-tested on an annual basis or a) whenever a worker changes the brand, size, or style of their earplugs/earmuffs b) experiences conditions affecting fit (such as ear surgery or significant changes) or c) if occupation or work environment changes, whichever comes first.
